Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
2good2miss is a UK hotel comparison service. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What we collect
If you create an account we store your email address, a securely hashed password (or your Google sign-in identity), your display name and home city if you add them, and the hotels you save to Favourites or Bookings. When you search, we process your filters and, if you use 'Near me', your approximate location for that search only — we do not store it. Messages you send to our online assistant are stored so we can answer you and improve the answers; if you use the assistant without signing in they are linked only to a random, unguessable code held in your browser, not to your name or email. That same code records which pages you visited and which hotels you clicked, so we can see how the site is being used.
How we use it
Only to run your account, show your saved hotels on any device, find hotels that match your search, answer your support questions and see which parts of the site people use. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Your data is held by our secure hosting and authentication provider. Searches are sent to our hotel data partner without any personal details. When you press 'Book now' you leave our site and the booking provider's own privacy policy applies.
How it's protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Passwords are never stored in readable form. Each account can only ever access its own saved data.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, favourites, bookings and support messages are permanently erased.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to its processing. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page, or contact us via the Support page for any other request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. We do keep two small items in your browser's own storage: what you need to stay signed in, and a random code that lets us show your saved search on your next visit and count visits rather than people. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version will always be on this page.
